Artificial Intelligence at Tufts: Shaping the Future of Learning
Artificial intelligence is reshaping higher education—transforming teaching, research, and the student experience. At Tufts, we are committed to integrating AI responsibly and strategically across our schools, ensuring it is leveraged ethically, inclusively, and in alignment with our core institutional values.
To establish an institutional approach, Tufts launched a university-wide AI+ Visioning Initiative, sponsored by the Office of the Provost. A cross-school AI+ task force of faculty and staff, informed by internal surveys and external expertise, is developing a roadmap for an integrated approach to AI education. This effort aims to harness Tufts’ unique strengths, foster interdisciplinary collaboration, and prepare our community to thrive in a rapidly evolving academic landscape. This work is now being carried forwarded by the AI Council.
