The Office of the Vice Provost for Education’s mission is to enhance student academic success and institutional impact through the development of an educational vision grounded in collaboration, careful stewardship, and innovation. The charge of the office spans educational innovation, global strategy, data analytics and decision support, and educational impact. OVPE is responsible for Tufts’ institution-wide educational vision, which builds on and synthesizes the strengths of the individual schools and colleges.
Tufts’ emerging educational vision is to create an enduring and interdisciplinary learning environment that does not just adapt to a complex world but thrives in it, empowering learners to become champions for social good through authentic engagement opportunities like experiential learning. This vision emphasizes Tufts’ distinctive expertise that lies at the intersection of its diverse schools and colleges and highlights the unique constellation of academic strengths and capabilities across the institution.
