Mary Davis

Mary Davis is the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Education. Her role in OVPE is to advance the educational vision of the university by identifying and fostering interdisciplinary collaborations at the intersection of the Tufts schools. Her leadership portfolio spans multiple university-wide initiatives, including AI, public health, business, and online learning. At OVPE, Dr. Davis also oversees the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT), which supports teaching excellence and faculty development across the institution. Mary is an economist by training with a research focus in labor economics and public health. She has been at Tufts since 2008 and is an associate professor in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. She also holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Economics.
