Jessica Sears

Jessica Sears is the Assistant Provost of Academic Planning and Accreditation. She supports Tufts' educational vision through academic planning and program development. She also leads university-wide accreditation and academic compliance, including state authorization through NC-SARA. She joined the Office of the Provost in 2021 to manage the NECHE re-accreditation process for the university. Prior to Tufts, Jessica worked at NYU Steinhardt leading 17 accreditations and their evaluation processes, while also managing school academic compliance and new program development. She has two masters degrees, one in higher education administration and one in applied quantitative research, both from NYU.
