Shaping the Future of Public Health Education at Tufts
Tufts University is committed to addressing global and local public health challenges through education, research, and innovation. With dedicated schools in nutrition, medicine, veterinary medicine, dentistry, civic life, diplomacy and policy, liberal arts, and engineering, Tufts brings unparalleled expertise to public health education.
To strengthen this impact, Tufts launched a university-wide public health visioning initiative, led by Provost Caroline Genco and supported by all the deans. A cross-school task force of faculty and staff, along with an external think tank of public health experts developed a roadmap for an integrated approach to public health education. This effort aims to harness Tufts’ unique strengths, adapt to evolving global needs, and prepare the next generation of public health leaders. This work is now being carried forwarded by the Public Health Council.
