Mary Davis is the Senior Associate Vice Provost for Education. Her role in the office is to advance the educational vision of the university by identifying and fostering collaborations across the various Tufts schools. This includes supporting the development of new programs as well as promoting innovative ways of teaching and learning that better meet the needs of modern-day students. She also oversees the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching (CELT). Mary is an economist by training with a research focus in labor economics and public health. She has been at Tufts since 2008 and is an associate professor in the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. She also holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Economics.
